Publishing Content
Control which talents, boards, and portfolios appear on your agency's portfolio website.
The Talents, Boards, and Portfolios sections of the Site module let you control exactly what content appears on your external portfolio website. Each section shows only your external content and provides toggles to publish or unpublish items from the site.
Talents
Route: Site > Talents
This section shows all talents with External visibility and lets you control which ones appear on your portfolio site.
Publishing Talents
Each talent has a Site Visible toggle. Turn it on to publish the talent to your site, or off to remove them.
- Only talents with External visibility appear in this list — internal-only talents are never exposed
- A talent must be both External and Site Visible to appear on the portfolio website
- Changes take effect when you next push to the site (or immediately with live sync enabled)
Batch Actions
To publish or unpublish multiple talents at once:
- Select talents using the checkboxes next to each name
- Use the Select All checkbox to select every visible talent, or pick individually
- Click the batch action button to toggle visibility for all selected talents
Searching
Use the search bar to filter the talent list by name or talent number. This is helpful when you have a large roster and need to find specific talents quickly.
What's Shown for Each Talent
Each talent row displays:
- Profile photo and name
- Talent number
- Talent type (Model, Actor, etc.)
- Board assignments as badges
- The site-visible toggle
Profile Fields Visibility
A collapsible Profile Fields Visibility card appears above the talent list. This controls which profile fields and sections are available for the portfolio website.
Always available (cannot be hidden): name, preferred name, display name, profile image, talent type, talent number, and slug.
Configurable fields:
| Field / Section | Description |
|---|---|
| Bio | Talent biography text |
| Description | Short tagline |
| Gender | Gender identity |
| Pronouns | Preferred pronouns |
| Nationality | Country of origin |
| Birth Place | City/region of birth |
| Social Links | Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok, and other social media links |
| Profile Details | Contact information, languages, skills, and addresses |
| Measurements | Height, weight, body measurements, shoe size, eye/hair color |
| Preferences | Work preferences and availability |
| Custom Attributes | Agency-defined custom fields and attribute groups |
All fields default to on. Toggle any field off to hide it from the external site. Changes take effect immediately — no publish step required. A summary below the card title shows how many fields are currently hidden.
Important: This configuration works alongside the Show on profile setting in Settings > Talent Attributes. If a system group (e.g., Measurements, Preferences) has "Show on profile" turned off in Talent Attributes, it will be hidden from the site regardless of this toggle. Both must be on for the data to appear.
Social Links are separated from Profile Details because most agencies want talent social media on their portfolio site even when other profile sections (contacts, addresses) are hidden.
Boards
Route: Site > Boards
This section shows all boards with External visibility and lets you control which ones appear on your portfolio site.
Publishing Boards
Each board row has a Site Visible toggle. Turn it on to publish the board to your site, or off to remove it.
- Only boards with External visibility appear in this list
- A board must be both External and Site Visible to appear on the portfolio website
- The site-visible toggle is independent from the board's external visibility setting
Viewing Board Details
Click any board row to expand it and see the site-visible talents within that board. Each expanded row shows:
- Talent avatars and names
- A link icon to navigate to the board's detail page in the Boards module
- A badge showing how many talents are assigned to the board
Portfolios
Route: Site > Portfolios
This section is a read-only view of portfolios that appear (or could appear) on your site. It does not create or modify portfolios — it shows what your portfolio site receives.
Two Tabs
Site Portfolios
Shows the exact portfolios your portfolio site currently serves, organized as:
Talent (expandable) > Board > Portfolio gallery cards
Each portfolio card displays: cover image (or placeholder), title, media count, category indicator, and default portfolio badge. This data comes from board-portfolio assignments on site-visible boards — the same data the API serves.
All External
Shows every external portfolio across your account, including system portfolios not assigned to any talent. This tab is useful for finding portfolio links to use in blog posts and CMS pages.
- Grouped by talent (expandable rows)
- System/unassigned portfolios shown in a separate group at the bottom
Filtering
Both tabs provide:
- Search bar — matches talent name, board title, or portfolio title
- Talent dropdown — filter to a specific talent (or "System/Unassigned" on the All External tab)
Site-Live Indicators
When a talent, board, or portfolio is live on your site, NowRep shows visual indicators throughout the platform to remind you that changes will have public impact.
Globe Badge (Library Views)
A small amber globe icon appears on cards in the library views:
- Talent cards — next to the E/I visibility badge
- Board cards — next to the visibility badges
- Portfolio cards — next to the portfolio title
The badge only appears when all conditions are met — the entity must be External and Site Visible.
Live-on-Site Banner (Detail Pages)
An amber callout banner appears at the top of detail pages for live content:
- Talent profile: "This talent is live on your external site. Changes to their profile, photos will be reflected publicly."
- Board detail: "This board is live on your external site. Changes to talents, cover image, and details will be reflected publicly."
- Portfolio detail: "This portfolio is on a board that is live on your external site. Changes to media and ordering will be reflected publicly."
On-Site Filter
Each module library (Talents, Boards, Portfolios) has a globe filter button in the toolbar. Click it to show only entities currently live on the site. Click again to clear the filter. When active, a filter info bar appears below the toolbar with a Clear button.
