Drafts
Save in-progress showcards as drafts and resume them later — your personal workpad for showcard creation.
Overview
Drafts save the complete state of an in-progress showcard so you can resume later. Navigate to Showmo > Drafts to view all your saved drafts.
What's Saved in a Draft
A draft captures everything about your current card state:
- Template selection
- Talent and portfolio selection
- Image slot assignments and repositioning (focal points)
- Field overrides (custom text values)
- Text style overrides (font, color, size, position)
- Background color override
- Generation mode (print/web)
- Front and back thumbnail screenshots (captured automatically for visual identification)
Draft Privacy
Drafts are strictly private per user. Other team members — including owners and admins — cannot see, edit, or delete another user's drafts. Drafts are personal in-progress workpads, not team artifacts.
Saving a Draft
- Make changes on the Generate page
- Click Save Draft in the top bar
- The draft is auto-named with the template name and date — you can rename it
The dirty state is cleared after saving, so the unsaved work warning will not trigger until you make further changes.
Resuming a Draft
Click any draft on the Drafts page to reopen the full editor state. All your previous selections, overrides, and customizations are restored exactly as you left them.

Draft Cards
Each draft card displays a captured screenshot of the card at the time of saving. A front/back toggle on the thumbnail lets you flip between sides. When a draft is re-saved (updated), the thumbnail updates to reflect the current card state.
