Templates
Browse, manage, and save showcard templates — choose from system designs or create your own reusable layouts.
Overview
Templates define the layout and structure of your showcards — where images, text, and panels appear on the card. The Templates page lets you browse all available templates, preview their layouts, and manage your saved templates.
Navigate to Showmo > Templates to view all templates available to your account.
Template Types
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| System | Pre-built templates provided by NowRep. Available to all accounts. Cannot be modified — you can save a copy as your own template to customize. |
| Custom | Templates designed by NowRep specifically for your agency. Only visible to your account. Cannot be modified by your team. Contact us to commission a custom template tailored to your brand. |
| Saved | Your own copies of any template. You can customize style, layout, and field visibility. Only the creator can edit their saved template; all team members can use it. |
System Templates
Three system templates are currently available:
| Template | Size | Orientation | Slots | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Classic Portrait | 5.5" x 8.5" | Portrait | 5 (hero + 4 back grid) | Fashion model agencies — traditional US compcard format |
| Editorial Landscape | 11" x 8.5" | Landscape | 6 (hero + 5 back mosaic) | Editorial submissions, media kits — dark stats panel with measurements |
| Influencer Media Kit | 5.5" x 8.5" | Portrait | 4 (hero + 3 back grid) | Influencer/creator agencies — social stats instead of body measurements |
Template Previews
Each template card shows a visual preview of the layout:
- System and Custom templates display a wireframe showing the structural arrangement of image slots, text areas, and panels. The wireframe adapts to the template's background color (light or dark), giving you a quick sense of the card's composition without needing to generate a card first.
- Saved templates display a captured screenshot of the actual card from when the template was last saved, showing real images and text styling.
Templates with a back side show a front/back toggle button in the bottom-right corner of the preview. Click it to flip between the front and back layouts.
Default Template
Set a default template that auto-loads whenever you open the Generate page.
Setting a Default
- Open the Templates page
- Click the action menu (three dots) on any template
- Select "Set as default"
A gold star badge indicates the current default template. To clear the default, open the action menu on the default template and select "Remove as default".
When no default is set, the system picks the first template in the list (typically Classic Portrait).
Saving Templates
You can save your current card configuration as a reusable template from the Generate page. This lets you bake in style choices (fonts, colors, positions) so you don't have to reconfigure them each time.
How to Save
- Click Save Template in the top bar of the Generate page
- Enter a name for the template
- Optionally check fields to hide permanently in the saved template (checked fields will always be hidden when using this template, regardless of the talent's data)
- Choose Save as New to create a new saved template, or Update Existing (if editing a saved template you created) to overwrite it
What's Saved
- The full card layout with any style overrides baked in (fonts, colors, positions)
- Image repositioning (focal points) as default positions for each slot
- Background color override (if set)
- Field visibility state (hidden fields stay hidden for all talents)
- A captured screenshot of the current card preview (both front and back sides) for the template card thumbnail
What's NOT Saved
- Talent-specific data (names, measurements, contact info) — the template always pulls fresh data from whichever talent is selected
- Specific portfolio or image assignments — the auto-mapping chain resolves images on each use
Permissions
| Action | Who can do it |
|---|---|
| Create a saved template | Any team member with manage access |
| Update (overwrite) a saved template | Only the creator |
| Delete a saved template | The creator, or any Admin/Owner |
| Browse and use any saved template | All team members |
