Quick Start

Get up and running with NowRep in minutes. A step-by-step guide to your first talent and booking.

This quick start guide walks you through the essential first steps to get your agency up and running in NowRep.

Step 1: Add Your First Talent

  1. Navigate to Talents in the sidebar
  2. Click the + New Talent button
  3. Enter the talent's basic information:
    • First and last name
    • Email address
    • Talent type (Model, Actor, etc.)
  4. Click Save

Your talent profile is now created. You can add more details such as additional contacts, address, measurements, other attributes, and photos later.

Tip: New talents start as drafts until you save them for the first time. This prevents incomplete profiles from cluttering your roster.

Step 2: Create a Portfolio for Your Talent

  1. Navigate to Portfolios in the sidebar
  2. Click the + New Portfolio button
  3. Fill in the portfolio details:
    • Title – Give your portfolio a name
    • Associated Talent – Select the talent you just created
    • Category – Optionally organize by category
    • Cover Image – Select from your media library or leave empty
    • External – Toggle on to make it available on your agency's public website (see Internal vs External)
  4. Click Next to proceed to the media step
  5. Add media to your portfolio:
    • Add from Library – Select existing photos from your media library
    • Upload New Media – Upload new photos directly
  6. Click Finish when done

Tip: When you associate a portfolio with a talent, you can mark it as their Default portfolio. The default portfolio is automatically assigned when the talent is added to boards or packages, streamlining your workflow. See Default Portfolio for details.

Step 3: Create Your First Event

  1. Navigate to Bookings in the sidebar
  2. Click on a date in the calendar or use + New Event
  3. Fill in the event details:
    • Event name
    • Date and time
    • Client and Contact (optional)
  4. Click Save

Step 4: Book Talent to the Event

  1. Open the event you just created
  2. Go to the Booking Board tab
  3. Find talents in the sidebar and drag them to a status column
  4. Talent moves through statuses: Pending → Option → Hold → Confirmed → etc.
